Homemade beans with smoked pork and herbs-step-by-step recipe!

We boiled the beans ... I know it's old school, but I have a method learned from my mother ... let it soak beans overnight or just couple of hours . Washed and cleaned very well . Put to a boil in cold water then when it begins to boil, ... throw that first water, rinse beans with cold water, put to boil again, in....cold water. Repeat this procedure at least three times ...

I do not know the exact significance of this, but I think it is related to gases produced by beans to our digestive system!

Pork bones, put to cook separately because they have different cooking time than the beans!
Let see....my little MISE-EN-PLACE:

  • DRY HERBS
  • TOMATO SAUCE
  • FRESH HERBS(DILL, ITALIAN PARSLEY AND SAVORY)
  • CANADIAN BACON & HOT LINKS SAUSAGES
  • ONION,CARROTS, CELERY, PARSNIP AND RED,ORANGE AND YELLOW BELL PEPPER, ALL OF THEM DICED!

Nice colors, right?????

DRY HERBS:
  • dehydrated vegetable-1-2 tbsp
  • thyme
  • savory
  • smoked paprika
  • dry chili flake
regular tomato sauce

diced fresh herbs: dill, flat parsley and some fresh savory!

To finish this marvelous , we caramelized onion in a couple of tsp olive oil, until it becomes golden, add hot links sausages ...

Deboned the pork ...cut in pieces
Mix the onion and sausages with beans!Let it simmering for cca 15 minutes

Add some of the diced fresh herbs and SERVE!!!

SHIRT AND TIE HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAKE!

Yummy and crazy Chocolate Cake!

These cakes are my first attempts to prepare and decorate cakes!
I would ask you to be gentle with me ...
I'll write the recipe soon, but first I need to translate the amounts used and the recipe itself!

You don't have an optical illusion, the cake is made to hang on one side ... ;););)

Happy Name Day Cake!

It is just a simple cake, with home made vanilla cream, fruits and homemade white frosting (egg whites, powdered sugar and lemon juice).
The letters are made of melted chocolate + milk + butter.
